A modern approach to Hypnobirthing

Hypnobirthing has been helping women experience calmer, more empowered pregnancy and birth experiences for over 50 years. There’s often a lot of fear around giving birth and fear during the birth process leads to the release of adrenaline and cortisol, both of which can slow labour and lead to a greater use of medical interventions.

Hypnobirthing encourages women to work in harmony with their bodies, and by helping them feel calmer and safer, it also encourages the release of hormones that can help reduce pain and encourage a smooth and steady birth experience.

Hypnobirthing can be used alongside a range of birth choices and can also help clients with specific issues around pregnancy or birth, such as tokophobia and other hospital related fears and phobias.

FLOW Hypnobirthing is a modern, accessible and effective approach which focuses on the four principles of FLOW: Feeling, Love, Openness and Wisdom. During this training you’ll learn how to take your client on a journey of increasing awareness and mind:body connection, as you provide them with practical tools and solutions to support pregnancy and birth.

FLOW Hypnobirthing Course

Online. Self-paced. Includes optional assignments, feedback and support. Accredited Certification on completion.

I first trained in Hypnobirthing 16 years ago, when my son was an infant. I loved the training but found it hard and unwieldy to put into practice. I also found that it was difficult for many of the women I worked with to attend the lengthy appointments and put into practice all the skills they learned. The approach was also more suited to working with groups than individuals. This was great for people who were also midwives, doulas or who wanted to specialise in birth-related therapy – but less suited to hypnotherapists who wanted to offer a wide suite of services.

FLOW Hypnobirthing is a far more accessible approach. It’s focused on working with individual women, with an additional session for their birth partner if they wish, and it provides them with supportive resources – including tools they can take into the birthing experience and recordings. It brings together the concepts of Feeling, Love, Openness and Wisdom, rooted in the experience of a deep mind:body connection, and the FLOW programme consists of four 90-minute 1-on-1 sessions.

The HypnoMenopause® training is fantastic value; concise but thorough, with everything you need to get started with clients. There’s everything I need to take a client step by step through the programme, even down to a plan for each session and scripts I can use. Claire is always quick to respond if I have any questions. Highly recommended!
