What does hypnotherapy for trauma training look like?

Become a Beyond Trauma Practitioner and gain the skills to confidently and safely use hypnotherapy with clients experiencing trauma, PTSD and complex trauma. Developed by Dr Claire Jack following 17 years of clinical practice and many years of training hypnotherapists, this comprehensive trauma hypnotherapy training programme is designed for qualified practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of trauma and use hypnosis within a clear, ethical and clinically informed framework.

Drawing on extensive therapeutic experience alongside current trauma research, Beyond Trauma provides a structured approach to trauma-informed hypnotherapy, combining stabilisation, emotional regulation, somatic approaches, memory processing and integration. Rather than simply teaching techniques, the course helps you understand the clinical thinking behind each intervention, enabling you to adapt your approach to the individual client's presentation, readiness and therapeutic goals.

Effective trauma hypnotherapy requires far more than scripts and protocols. Practitioners need to understand assessment, formulation, dissociation, emotional activation, therapeutic pacing and the difference between manageable distress and overwhelm. Throughout the programme, you'll develop the confidence and clinical judgement to decide not only how to use a particular intervention, but when, why and for whom it is appropriate—helping you work more safely, ethically and effectively with trauma.

You'll receive comprehensive practitioner resources, structured session plans, adaptable hypnotherapy protocols, guided exercises and practical tools covering both stabilisation and trauma reprocessing. By the end of the programme, you'll have an evidence-informed framework for using hypnotherapy with trauma, PTSD and complex trauma, enabling you to support clients with greater confidence while helping them move beyond survival towards lasting integration, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
