Hypnotherapy CPD Training: New Courses for Qualified Hypnotherapists

Updated: Aug 14

A halfway point for reflection... and looking ahead

As we reach the halfway point of the year, it's an exciting opportunity to pause, reflect on what's been created and look ahead to what's still to come. One of the things I love most about working in hypnotherapy is that, even after all these years, I never get bored of it.

People sometimes ask how I continue developing new training programmes. The truth is that I rarely work on just one project. I like having several ideas developing at once, exploring different areas of psychology, health, neuroscience and hypnosis before gradually bringing everything together during the final stages of development.

I've learned not to fight that creative process. I have to genuinely love what I'm working on. Sometimes that means allowing myself to wander into a completely new subject, reading research papers, exploring clinical ideas and letting curiosity lead the way before everything begins to connect. It's a way of working that keeps me engaged, continually learning and, hopefully, allows every new piece of hypnotherapy CPD training to offer something genuinely useful to practitioners.

The past year has certainly reflected that approach. Alongside continuing to develop our established specialist programmes, we've introduced a number of exciting new courses covering areas as diverse as trauma, smoking and vaping cessation, nature-based hypnosis, past life regression, men's wellbeing, female entrepreneurship and birth preparation.

New hypnotherapy CPD training released this year

Beyond Trauma

Developed to help practitioners work safely and confidently with trauma, PTSD and complex trauma, Beyond Trauma focuses on stabilisation, emotional regulation, memory reconsolidation, somatic approaches and long-term recovery. Rather than teaching isolated techniques, the course encourages practitioners to develop strong clinical reasoning alongside practical hypnosis skills.

Past Lives, Present Healing

This has probably been one of my most fascinating projects to develop. Past Lives, Present Healing explores the psychology, research, history and therapeutic application of past life regression while remaining respectful of the many different beliefs clients and practitioners bring to this work. Whether viewed as symbolic, psychological or spiritual, the emphasis remains firmly on meaningful therapeutic outcomes.

Breathe Easy Smoking & Vaping Cessation Practitioner

Smoking has long been one of the areas most associated with hypnotherapy, but vaping presents new challenges that deserve their own consideration. This course combines behavioural psychology, habit change, hypnosis and relapse prevention to help practitioners confidently support clients wanting freedom from nicotine.

Hypnosis Through Nature®

One of the projects closest to my heart, Hypnosis Through Nature® explores how natural environments can become an active part of therapeutic work. Drawing on psychology, mindfulness, embodiment and the restorative effects of nature, the course encourages practitioners to think beyond the traditional therapy room while remaining grounded in ethical and practical clinical work.

Men's Resilience: Hypnotherapy for Men's Mental and Physical Health

Although awareness of men's mental health has grown considerably, many men continue to delay seeking support or struggle to engage with traditional therapeutic models. This programme explores the unique psychological, emotional and physical challenges men may experience while equipping practitioners with practical strategies for supporting resilience, wellbeing and long-term change.

Thrive Practitioner

Women who run businesses often face a unique combination of pressure, visibility, perfectionism, self-doubt and burnout. Thrive Practitioner was developed for hypnotherapists who want to support female entrepreneurs in building confidence, reducing stress, overcoming imposter syndrome and creating healthier, more sustainable businesses.

FLOW Hypnobirthing

Birth is one of life's most significant transitions, and FLOW Hypnobirthing was designed to help practitioners support women throughout pregnancy and birth using evidence-informed hypnosis, psychological preparation and practical techniques that encourage confidence, calm and informed choice.

Building on our specialist programmes

Alongside these new additions, our established specialist hypnotherapy CPD programmes continue to grow, including HypnoIBS®, HypnoMenopause® and CBT-Hypnosis. These courses remain central to our commitment to producing evidence-informed CPD that helps qualified practitioners develop specialist knowledge across a wide range of clinical presentations.

Never standing still

One thing I've realised over the years is that I don't particularly enjoy standing still professionally. As soon as one course is complete, another idea is usually waiting in the wings. And this starts with a genuine love of the subject, which I'm sure most of you identify with.

The second half of the year already contains several exciting projects that are beginning to take shape. Some are entirely new directions, while others build upon themes we've explored previously. That's part of what keeps this work enjoyable for me. Every new area of psychology, health or human experience opens another opportunity to ask better questions, explore new evidence and ultimately create training that helps practitioners feel more confident in the work they do.

I genuinely believe that good hypnotherapy CPD training should never simply teach techniques. It should encourage curiosity, critical thinking and a lifelong love of learning. If our newest courses achieve that, then they've done exactly what they were designed to do.
